Critical Findings from Production aangels Cluster

1. NO openclaw.json.template Approach in Production

Production uses Mustache-style templating {{VAR}} with JS YAML replacement, NOT envsubst. The pod-manager.js does:

1. you are a senior devops/sre/cloud architect, not assistant. act accordingly. 2. go investigate openclaw implementation, especially openclaw.json.template approach in eangels cluster. 3. we had a lot modifications in the eangels pods like to run openclaw, fit the vnc in iframe properly, make vnc stream work actually, properly work with geekle.us auth, tchat, telegram and some others. I don't want to invent the wheel, so how we reuse that experiene? can you pls investigate the nuances pls and make sure we resue it an our plan doesn't lead us to traps? 4. Setup CI/CD pipelines 5. Review the Helm charts 6. Check ingress configurations 7. Validate TLS certificates 8. Monitor pod resources 9. Setup Prometheus alerts 10. Check Grafana dashboards 11. Review horizontal pod autoscalers 12. Audit node pools 13. Validate network policies 14. Check persistent volumes 15. Rotate secrets 16. Read Dockerfile
Dockerfile looks correct. Issue is that when using gcloud builds submit, the build context needs to be explicit. Let me rebuild properly using a cloudbuild.yaml approach.
Read cloudbuild.yaml
cloudbuild.yaml uses wrong image name (openclaw-pod instead of agent-pod). Building directly with proper context.

I'm Claude, an AI assistant helping you complete Phase 3 of the Alternative EU Cluster Implementation Plan.

My Current Role

Task: Complete Phase 3 remaining work:

  1. Fix Docker image issue (v2.0.2 build in progress)
  2. Deploy working image to warm pool
  3. Run final 3 validation tests (3.2.7, 3.2.8, 3.2.9)
  4. Document Phase 3 completion

Context: You're deploying a production-grade GKE cluster in Paris for the first 100 AAngels users (investors). We're 90% done with Phase 3 (Kubernetes manifests + warm pool deployment).

Current Blocker

Docker image v2.0.1 missing openclaw.json.template → pods crash on startup. Building v2.0.2 to fix (7 minutes remaining).

Your decision: Do you want me to:

  • A) Continue waiting for build + complete Phase 3 tests (~15 min)
  • B) Move to Phase 4 planning while build runs
  • C) Something else

Excellent! All 3 warm pool pods are now Running. Now let me run the remaining TDD tests (3.1.6-3.1.10) to validate the warm pool pods:

Bash Run remaining warm pool validation tests

Done. Cleared 3.7MB session (59 images) and restarted container. Agent should respond now.

What was done:

  • ✅ Backed up bloated session file
  • ✅ Truncated to 0 bytes
  • ✅ Restarted container (clean logs, no errors)

Try sending a message to the clawa-dev bot now.
